Allan Gray Centre For Africa Entrepreneurship (AGCAE) 2024 PhD And Masters Scholarships For African Students

The Allan Gray Centre for Africa Entrepreneurship (AGCAE) is now accepting applications for its full-time, funded doctoral and masters research programmes for 2024. The AGCAE is a leading research center dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship-led development in Africa. The center offers a variety of scholarships to support African students pursuing research related to entrepreneurship.

AGCAE Doctoral Scholarships

Full-time doctoral scholarships valued at R250,000 per year for three years.
Open to African citizens and South African citizens.
Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged South African and African foreign national citizens.
Candidates must have achieved a minimum mark of 70% in their master’s programmes to be eligible.

AGCAE Master’s Scholarships

Full-time masters scholarships valued at R150,000 per year for two years.
Open to African citizens and South African citizens.
Preference will be given to previously disadvantaged South African and African foreign national citizens.
Candidates must have achieved a minimum mark of 70% in their honours’ programmes to be eligible.

How to Apply

To apply for an AGCAE Doctoral Scholarship or Master’s Scholarship, you must submit the following documents:

A completed application form
A copy of your academic transcripts
A copy of your research proposal
A letter of motivation
Two letters of reference
A copy of your identity document or passport

The application deadline is the 22nd of September 2023 and the new intake of full-time candidates will commence their studies in Stellenbosch on the 15th of January 2024.
