The DAAD/WACCI Masters Plant Breeding Scholarships are offered to students from Sub-Saharan Africa who are interested in pursuing a Master’s degree in plant breeding. The scholarships are funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the West African Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI).
DAAD scholarship for African students
To be eligible for the DAAD/WACCI Masters Plant Breeding Scholarships, you must:
- Be a citizen of a Sub-Saharan African country
- Have a strong academic record in plant breeding or a related field
- Be proficient in English
The DAAD/WACCI Masters Plant Breeding Scholarships cover the full cost of tuition, as well as a living stipend, health insurance, and travel expenses.
The application process for the DAAD/WACCI Masters Plant Breeding Scholarships is competitive. Applicants must submit a completed application form, a copy of their academic transcripts, a letter of motivation, and two letters of recommendation.
