The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Government of Kazakhstan Scholarships 2023 for international students. These scholarships are designed to attract outstanding international students to pursue undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD studies at leading universities in Kazakhstan.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Government of Kazakhstan Scholarships 2023, applicants must:

• Be a citizen of a country other than Kazakhstan
• Have a strong academic record
• Be enrolled in or admitted to a full-time undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD program at a participating university in Kazakhstan
• Have a strong command of the Kazakh language or Russian language
• Be able to demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research (for PhD applicants)

Scholarship Coverage

The Government of Kazakhstan Scholarships 2023 will cover the following:

• Full tuition fees
• Monthly stipend of KZT 150,000 (approximately USD 350) for undergraduate students, KZT 180,000 (approximately USD 420) for Master’s students, and KZT 220,000 (approximately USD 520) for PhD students
• Accommodation allowance of KZT 20,000 (approximately USD 47) per month
• Health insurance
• Travel costs (up to a maximum of KZT 200,000 (approximately USD 470) for undergraduate students, KZT 250,000 (approximately USD 590) for Master’s students, and KZT 300,000 (approximately USD 710) for PhD students)

Application Process

The application deadline for the Government of Kazakhstan Scholarships 2023 is June 30, 2023. Applicants can submit their applications online.
